You have a really good sense of composition, and an eye for detail in these deteriorating spaces ... I liked it! Nice use of shallow DOF in a few places. The shot of the single piece of wood standing up near the end looked positively Kubrickian to me. It would have been right at home in "A Clockwork Orange." The kind of half-entry of the human character was almost disturbing after looking at all that emptiness, and put a whole new spin on the piece, leaving the viewer with many unanswered questions. Not a bad way to finish it off, at all.

Was that all "found" light, as I assume, or did you add any artificial sources? Sounds like a broken record, but as always, we'd like to know your camera settings.

Greg,

Thanks for your comments! I've been eyeing this location for a while. It's a cool husk of a building, with some sqautters living in it. The "character" at the end is a tenant, and those were his glasses on the table!

It was all available light, just an overcast morning. I've edited the OP to include camera settings.

George, well done. It reminded me of Dark Days in many ways. How did you go about shooting it? Did the tenants mind?

thanks grim! since no one is really allowed to be in there, I figured if I saw any one I'd just act nonchalant and friendly. The only person I ran into was the kid that came to pick up his glasses, and I think he was more scared to see me. We talked about his skateboard and where he goes to ride. I'm hoping I can run into him again there and shoot a little skate movie.
