FEATURE: Stricken the Feature - A Matt Sconce Film

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I have completed the rough cut. Without the credits it is sitting at 1 hr and 36 minutes. Hooray!!

Fantastic. Congratulations Matt, Gary and the rest of the Stricken crew.

Thanks!:dankk2:

Watched Rough cut all the way through and am quite pleased! It is a real movie! Woohoo! Now it is time to start rendering and cutting in Effects shots, filming exteriors and cut aways, and locking the cut down. :)

So I thought I would have to use Red Cine for conversion of all my red files, but on a whim I imported the R3D files 4k into premiereCS4 4k project. Real time playback and scrubbing with dynamic link to AE goodness! I now officially LOVE my crazy fast computer.

Me too! I get to see the rough Thursday after the Fresno Film Maker's Alliance meeting. Whoot!

BTW... Any who want to steal the "Stinkin' Fast Computer"... We have it next to a pool filled with Sharks with friggin' laser beams on their heads! :kali: We have nanites on the keys that, if unable to recognize you, will cause the dropping of certain body parts from your anatomy... :zombie_smiley: Our attack Pekingese will brutally ankle-bite interlopers...

All joking aside, Matt and I are regularly multi-backing up all of the footage, the cut, and continuously adding new saved material to back up. We have also geographically separated numerous copies in case of theft or fire. (Can't be too careful...) One copy is in a vault. Seriously.

Muy Perfecto Running Time Matt!
Thanks! It is getting exciting!
I am now up to 3 sales agents and 3 distributors waiting to check out Stricken! I am really excited about the most recent one. Awesome and exciting times! Now onward... to Post production and beyond!

UPDATE: I have been layering in the proxie greenscreen shots to fill in the timeline for Stricken and have made a lot of progress. I am near the end of that process then comes the cutaway shooting time. It is looking good! -Matt

Matt and I will be trying to get in our shooting of all transition and other shots in the next month and a half. We have to beat the weather. Busy, busy, busy! He is just nailing the special effects shots down. I can't believe how many he has been working on. What an editor.

Also, we will be helping Troy Ruff shoot the monster-fest short MERCY this weekend. Mucho lights, cords, hoses, rain rig, Hyperdolly, Hypercam, and HyperCrane. Another fully packed grip-mobile! As I am just slave labor, It will be fun! The only challenges of the location: No power... No water. That's all...

Finally, I am on the search for trees with flocks of birds roosting in them for a specialty shot. I have built a Hypercannon: A 4" wide 5' long harmless sonic boom cannon to stimulate flight. (Oh yeah... They'll fly on cue.)
