Hi guys....Im shooting PART of a 720P film on a slightly rough area and I dont want to take my HVX down...could I shoot DVX then stretch the footage up to work on my dvcpro hd timeline with the other HVX footage? im talking 720p

Im going to make the footage stark black and white and add noise anyway so its supposed to look quite shitty, its going to be shown on TV, do you think it will look horrific?

please help

Adam- I think you will be okay if you pay close attention to lighting so you can hit "the sweet spot" of your lens. You probably will want to use the anamorphic adapter somewhere around the middle of the zoom range (or shoot squeeze).

Is it going to be noticable--you bet, but if you are able to use short DVX clips sparingly (and everything else works--your story, talent, yadda yadda) you should be able to pull it off.

There are a lot of options to uprez your SD footage (none of which are perfect, or are going to make it look like it was shot with the HVX). Edius Broadcast mixes different formats easily--there are plenty of other NLE's that will do it as well, and you can always try Instant HD.

Be careful out there.
