Street Time lapse at 1, 2 and 6fps

Reading a few threads on the subject of Time lapses, were I learn that the HMC150 does not allow you to shoot at lower frame rates than 24p, (the HVX200 and the HPX170 do). I decided to make some tests.

This is what I came up with:

I made tests at "different frame rates": 1, 2 and 6 fps.

what exactly is the difference between recording at a "true" slower frame rate and speeding it up in post. Doesnt an NLE throw frames away when footage is speed up in post- and why isnt it the same as manually taking frames out, stacking them, and discarding the rest?

Edweirdo,

- Yes, it is the same as manually taking frames out. But this process is faster as the computer does it for you when exporting the image sequence.

- Regarding speeding it up in your NLE, I didn't do that test. I'll have it on my list for my next set of tests!

Thanks!
