Street DH in Yalta

Well, it's good to see that the worker's paradise has given way to youth having free time...

Anyway, my thoughts are as follows:

The 1 minute intro was a bit too long. Some of the shots were a bit cluttered, and would do better not to be there. I think if you want to use that 'calm before the storm' idea, then perhaps 15-30 seconds would be enough.

Now, on the 'action' segment, I think you should really look to cut the beginning and the endings of your clips. There were a number where the cyclist was small and in the distance, and it took about 1-2 seconds to him to get 'large' in the frame. Cut off those 1-2 seconds, and you have some pretty snappy cuts to give more a more emotional effect of fast cycling, 'danger', and the 'in the camera's face' look.

It looked like if you cut more closely to the cyclist filling the frame, you could get some exciting 'match cuts', between the different locations.

The other issue is the timing of the music. What I do is I edit to the music for the most part, but if there is less visual material than music... I edit the music as well, finding a 'good' point where the group sings a 'refrain', or perhaps cutting out a complete 'stanza' of lyrics.
