Streaming DV - Hpx500 livestream firewire

[lawriejaffa]

Hey guys,

I was going to stream from a Canon XL with a simple enough 4 - 6 pin firewire for livestream, however, i've got an hpx500 soooo....

So can i use the HPX500 firewire and stream from a 6 - 6 pin firewire (with it on say, dv record mode) and if so can that work with livestream or ustream etc?

Thanks guys!

Lawrie get your hands on uStream Producer - http://www.ustream.tv/producer it supports one cam only. For more you need pro (on that same page).

Also its not reliable in HD. Just go SD 6pin to 6pin FW and you should be set.

Thanks Noel cheers for the heads up - in the end i did it with a canon xl i had toddling about! (The hardware store with firewires was closed early bah!) But next time im streaming from hpx500, found that ustream producer was very easy to understand and use!

Oh dude btw check out my facebook, you'll see footage of your film playing at the end of our live stream in a promo film we streamed of the festival!
