"streaking" time lapse effect?

Pretty sure the answer is no, but can I simulate the EX's slow shutter function to get a time lapse with streaking motion? Can't seem to find a slower shutter than 1/24. Might I be missing something? I'd be happy to eschew interval recording if needed and just record regularly, speeding up in post, if that could provide a way.

Thanks for any help.

You cant use a shutter lower than the frame rate. It's just not possible for a shutter to be open longer than the frame is being shot. In Video Cam mode you can set the Interval Rec and get 1 FPS. Or a frame every two sec. It is here in Video Cam mode that you can set the shutter to open for as much as 1/2 sec. thus giving you the streaky look. I wish this cam had something in between the 1 FPS of Video Cam mode, and 12 FPS in Film Cam mode. 2 or 4 would be nice!

i started a thread about this very question, http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?237022-Shutter-Speed-in-Film-Cam/page2

the 350 degree shutter doesnt have a much motion blur as i thought it would, though maybe this is how a film camera really would look, i havent tried on film; the cameras ive used dont have this option only 180. i thought the closed shutter would have more 'streak'. but i will try the 1/2 shutter, could be a good option for timelapse/locked off slow motion effects.
