F3: "Strategra" Internal Marketing Spot for a Dallas Agency

Richard - great job - really the F3 looked amazing here - you could have said it was shot with a F55 and no-one would have known. Keep it up. Sparky

Nice Richard, but I have to say I noticed some weird skin tones with a little yellow cast to them. Especially in the shadows or fill side. The doctor especially looked funky here on this monitor. Were you mixing warmer and cooler light sources?
Might just be this laptop I'm looking at them on, too...

Still nice work, the F3 looked great, good camera work but I saw the same funky colors and that is why I asked about the lighting. I'm getting ready to spend a bit of money on new lighting and was going to go all LED until I did a bit or research; http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=52551

I'm using Divas now and will most likely stick with KinoFlo and buy a set of Barflys . Maybe one light panel for run and gun.

All fun stuff. I hate to say it though, seems to be another example of a bit of a battle with Slog and making nice colour, the main mans face is pretty wonk for one?

Also maybe a personal thing but watch chopping hands..

The push in on the male lead uncomfortably chops his hand - IMO you needed to pan down or boom down during the push and his placement was wrong. Also a girl in yellow is chopped above the hands in a jarring manner IMO

Richard-Hope you don't feel too ganged up on here. It really is a nicely done video.
I haven't personally used slog myself so I'm uniquely unqualified to offer advice on it. I just haven't had any clients ask for it.
Just curious...Looking at your female doctor series of videos on vimeo, were they shot slog as well?

Richard have you tried just tweaking the monitor instead of using the F3 LUT's . Seems better to me . You add contrast and lower black to taste and add saturation. gets you in the ballpark and you have color you can see.

There are LOTS of redeeming things about Richard's piece. The pacing, the timing, the editing, the sound, the writing, the humor, the titling and so on.

I'm sure your client is very impressed especially given most of the work was done by you meaning they got a screaming deal on the level of production you gave them. Full kudos Richard.

Richard, it's a great VT really, great fun to watch and really well put together. You can't spend too much time worrying about tiny details folks won't even notice. Great work.
