Okay, first I need to get this out of the way: I dropped my camera the other day. It was about a three-foot fall from a table to a soft carpet. When I picked up the camera, the autofocus seemed completely nonfunctional. I turned off the camera and turned it back on, and it worked fine, and I used it for the rest of the night without any problems.
Today I turned on for the first time since then, and the camera produced a very loud humming noise. I switched off the autofocus and the bulk of the humming disappeared, but the camera was still humming louder than I remember. I switched the autofocus back on, and the loud humming returned.
Also, when I switch the zoom from manual to servo, it makes a very loud and very painful click when I press the rocker for the first time.
Is it repair time or is this normal?
