Strange red icon flashing, top left of screen

[Abaddon]

A few times in the past I noticed this red circle icon on the top left of the screen. It had more details than just a plain circle, but I forgot exactly what it looked like. I'm pretty sure it was flashing while I was recording. I found no problems with recording or with the footage, so I didn't freak out. I looked in the manual for problem icons, but didn't find it. Any of you know what it is?

In my best "Rain Man".....yea...page 52...definately 52...yea.....

Personally, I thought the manual was pretty good at explaining what was on the camera, but vague on what the camera can do.
