Strange Question re: Pelican Cases

I just purchased a few Pelican Cases, and something struck me as odd: Half the cases have a Pelican Logo / sticker in black and white - and half of them have a different Logo / sticker in bright red and yellow.

I was worried this meant something, like they are from different product lines, or perhaps one of them means older stock or something (before they changed an aspect of the design etc.).

Does anyone know why there are two different logos / stickers on my cases? Seems weird that they don't all "match up".

I'm sort of guessing here, but...

I have a Pelican 1650 that I've owned since 2002, and its logo is grey print on black. The Pelican 1600 and 1200 that I just purchased 3 months ago have a color logo. I'm not sure when they made the change, but I would say that you received some older stock. It shouldn't be a big deal... they're great cases either way.

The other thing to look for... they updated the clasps some time in the last couple of years. The new ones are much easier to open. Do you have two different types of clasp?

There must have been a merger or acquisition somewhere along the line. Hardigg storm cases are now pelican storm cases. Also the latches on the older pelicans were called knuckle busters, the latches on my new pelican are not so bad
