Strange Ghosting Issues.

Hi again, ive been creating some realy Man on Fire like film effects with my footage, but the only thing that has been worying me is that the footage is very washy. Sometimes its not smooth either, its like one picture, slightly ascue to the other frame, while panning or something. Like double images when moving, pluss the light areas bleed heavily into the normal lit areas while moving.

Is there any way of avoiding these wierd blurrings, are u also seeing a very digital doubling and confusing blurr effect while panning fast. Slight movements distract me greatly because the image just seems to go to a wash, this is slightly enhanced by my monitor , but not by much im soon.

Could anyone tell me a way of calming this down in camera while still maintaining a filmish look. recording on 720 25pn mode.

Note: im using sony vegas. In its project settings tab there is a part that sais, motion blur, and gives u options, by default its set to gausion. could this be effecting thepicture greatly.

Any tips would be great.

Oh wait, im watching the Just Raylighted footage and no, there is nice blurr there. Hmm mabe vegas is doing this, anyone else finding the same issues?

EEEW god, somone pleasehelp, this is a problem, the footage from the cam is fine in comparison, but intead of blurring, movement blurr from camera, im getting the same image but lighter. So its like horrible! Something bad is gonna happen to my spleen soon or something, aaaargh. I knew something was funny.

HELP!

Im looking at the after raylighted MXF file, next to the Out of vegas file, and oh dear. Its like the motion blur of the image is behing overlayed by annother atempted motion thing. Just the previous position of image, previos frame, at 50% opacity, u get my drift, where as the MXF is motion blur from camera, nice

That's what I kind of figured it was because I haven't seen anything like this in FCP or from files straight off the camera.

Anyone else on there seeing this? with vegas. Its inside vegas too, in the preview window. Its totaly messing up my footage, i just purchased raylight today, this aint even funny.

the original blurr is there, but this is commin ontop of it, im using the HDV 720 25p setting, the footage was recorded at 25pn

Omg that was the most intense moment, i disabled this thing called smart re-sample, all using vegas, listen, its not smart. My problem is solved.

To solve vegas ghosting issue. Right click on footage in track, go down to switches, and dissable re-sample or smart re-sample

Wow, this is the first time i may have helped anyone on the forum.

Glad it worked out. I know how frustrating these things can be.
By the way, funny how you helped yourself!

Vegas was trying to speed change your video. Make sure the clip
frame rate (25) is the same as the project frame rate (25) and also that
you've not accidentally used the time stretch tool. Otherwise now that
the blending is gone you will now have skipped or repeated frames
in its place.
