"Strange Folk", SGpro/Dvx100a

Did you use any type of filter with this? I'm in the market for a DVX and I'm trying to look at the type of results, picture wise, the camera can produce. Do you have anything else shot with it?

It has a 35mm adapter on it with a 50mm nikkor 1.4 lens. No special filters or anything.

I have a bunch of other stuff shot with it. Look on my website under full films. The only thing on there that isn't shot with my adapter is "Sewwer".

I can also send you some links to other test shoots like this one if you want.

ive only seen about the first half and i like what i see so far...the only problem is your compression settings. it just takes so long to download (or maybe my computer's slow right now).

i like the surreal blue undertones, especially shown in the girls hair. nice look going on

I love the way this looks. Did you do anything to get that subtle grain or is that just from the color correction?

Could you share your settings?

The grain comes from upping the mids in color correction. I usually always do this just because I like to crush the blacks a lot and upping the mids allows me to that without the image getting to dark.

settings are

dt level -4
master ped -6
gamma norm
knee auto
matrix norm
sk tone dt off
v dt level thin
24p adv
everything else set to zero

and the adapter is the SGpro r3
