Hello all,
I've just noticed lately some very odd renderings of color on my HVX. It's not a 'total picture' thing, but just occaisional oddities.
The first thing that tipped me off was when I was trying out the scene file settings that came with Barry's book the other night. I've used them all before with no problem at all! But a few nights ago, I switched to the 'Day for Night' settings in the Extreme looks bank. I saw it gradually turn super blue, then at the apex of the transition to the new scene file, the entire picture had a very lime green color cast on it.
Next thing, I was doing some high-shutter movements on some buildings outside, and I noticed that in the dark shadows in one of the buildings were rendering a slightly glowing purple! Which is quite odd, as I shot nearly 6 hours of footage in almost complete darkness except for an anemic sun-gun a few nights prior with no problems at all! I did have a Tiffen UV on while shooting the buildings, which I forgot to take off to see if that was the problem, but I doubt it. The rest of the picture looks fine!
I'll post some screen grabs later today. Just wondering if anyone might know what's up, and if I should be starting to yell at warranty people yet?
Kevin
