Strange Behavior

I didn't have time to go down and get another firewire card today. Real life can really suck. :( I'll be sure to post when I've had a chance to try.

TeleDan: I've been running SP2 for a while now without problem so I'm guessing it's not the issue. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Averdahl: I have not tried capturing on another computer. I'll be testing this out tomarrow. I tried capturing from the DVX as a last ditch effort (not my usual routine). No luck. I also tried using another firewire cable with the same results. Damn, all great ideas! One of these days something has to work!
 
Just wanted to let everyone know that I solved my problem. Quite honestly I'm not entirely sure HOW.

I usually keep a firewire cable connected to my computer even when a camera is not connected. I suspect the cord built up a good amount of static electricity that was interfering with the transfer process. Strange stuff.
