GH2 Strange banding on Premiere CS6 exports...

I'm currently editing a short shot on a hacked GH2 in AVCHD.
Every exported video file so far has had an odd, random banding on any shots with a smooth gradient, such as a dimly lit wall.
The banding doesn't appear on the original files.
I've exported in numerous formats with various settings, including with any grading removed, but the problem persists.

The banding in question can (sort of) be seen in the top right of the attached jpg. It moves around randomly during the shot.

Any ideas as to how to solve this problem?

I believe you're experiencing the "digital / diagonal rain". To avoid it, you either have to use a hack that doesn't cause it or use 5DtoRGB :)

I just imported the completed Premiere CS6 project into CS5 and exported from there.
No digital rain to be seen. Clearly an issue with Premiere CS6 or the encoder it uses.

Previously when I tried to export in CS5 it worked ok. Now it crashes the program and the one time I got it to export the audio was all panned left for some reason.
I seriously doubt I'll be using Premiere after this. It's been nothing but trouble over the years.

I love Premiere CS5.5 and I really wanted to use the upgrades in CS6 but it has been too buggy to use for me...
5DtoRGB really is a must. Yes, CS5 and up can "do" AVCHD but it still has issues - especially when using the Adobe Bridge into After Effects - it was dropping frames on me and it TOTALLY STOPPED doing that if I converted first with 5DtoRGB. In fact any glitches I was getting were eliminated.
Yes it's a drag to transcode...but it really makes life much easier.

The "digital rain" distortion is due to a decoding flaw in the consumer-grade MainConcept AVCHD decoder bundled in Adobe CS6 and CC. It contaminates videos imported into both Premiere Pro and After Effects, though it often goes unnoticed. To my knowledge, neither Adobe nor MainConcept have acknowledged this defect, and I don't believe they have any plans to fix it. I have terminated my Adobe CC subscription and reverted back to Adobe CS5.5, the latest version that works reliably for my purposes.
