Just got new Panasonic DVX100b- great cam...

Strange Audio problem:
I have an older Sony VX2000 with which I have produced lots of commercials, etc. Then I export them back on MiniDV to give to the tv stations...
Funny thing is that i can play these tapes on my DVX100b just fine- but for some reason I cannot capture the audio via firewire (video is fine)?? Though I see the audio levels (on the camera) moving as it is being captured on the computer- once captured the video has no audio? So then I put that tape back in the Sony and capture it- and it's just fine, complete with audio...
NOTE: these are tapes that were recorded from the computer to my old Sony cam. I have discovered that if I try using older "raw footage" tapes (recorded on the Sony directly from the event, not from the computer back to tape) I use that footage in the Panasonic and it captures it perfectly with sound!

So to sum it up- stuff that was produced on my computer and put to tape on my old Sony will play on the DVX but cannot capture aduio via firewire...

Makes no sense to me- it plays fine and I see and hear audio levels- tried different capture software and got the same problem....
