Wondering if anyone has experienced this glitch before...
I have footage from an FS100, with one channel of audio recorded as well. When editing the footage, I noticed the audio would occasionally skip and slip out of sync for a while. I recently had an issue with one of my hard drives, so I initially attributed it to that, but upon recapturing the source footage from one of the SD cards, I still see the problem, which leads me to believe it was recorded this way.
You can visually see something wonky going on - the audio (which was recorded into only one of the channels), can be seen to occasionally "skip" up into the other channel, then back down. Screenshot of what I am referring to HERE.
It is in or around these channel "skips" that the audio glitches occur.
I do recall experiencing a few recording stoppages during the shoot - so I am wondering now if there was some hardware or SD card related issues. The shoot day involved two different SD cards, both of which experienced this audio mishap, so I am thinking it is likely camera related. Part of the camera was in direct sunlight for a while, so I wonder if it is overheating?
Anyone experienced anything like this before?
