Storage format...

I am wondering what would be the best format to store a rendered video file for archiving/future purposes?

For example I have a finished version of a 3 min video that I rendered to quicktime animation, the size of the file is 20 gigs. I want to archive a version of this file at a high quality to keep the option of rendering again (to blu-ray or any other format) Should I just archive this 20 gig file or is there a better/smaller format?

I would say, get yourself a 1tb+ harddrive.
