Stop motion?

You're better off using a nice digital SLR if you have one, or even a film SLR, but that could be expensive. A digital camera will have a higher resolution that the DVX, so it will give you more room to work with in post to crop or reframe, etc. The DVX100 (and A I believe) have a interval recording feature. I've never used it and I don't know how well suited it is for stop motion.

problem with using my SLR is that I don't want to kill the shutter. I've taken 10000 shots since I got it last May, no need to add another 10000 shots in a few days. My cam shutter is only rated for 20000 shots.
