Stop Motion w/ The Brevis

I did this over the past two days for an animation class I'm taking right now. It is a 60 second spot for a non existent (but possibly forthcoming) mini series. It's my first attempt at stop motion, and the voice acting (mine, currently) is getting replaced with someone who is actually decent at it. Think I will change the title cards around a bit too. Anyway tell me what you think.

Action Figure Roommate.

Thanks.

Great !
Did you use the DVX100?and a still camera for the close ups of the action figure

I think you did that great.
I’m not much for the humour but the lightning was nice, but at that size more of the looks of DOF or so can't be judged.

But its a nice idea.

It was all the 100A.

Yes I know what you are saying about the DoF in some shots. In others I do believe it played a larger role, such as the dolly shot and when he is holding the pencil.

Thanks for taking a look guys!

wow... whats your secret to the reds? Nice job... that must take some time? Hey William, is that you in the chair?

The last shot with the doll against the brick wall, CU was supernice!

How did you get him moving, with the guy in the shot? Just masked it?

Good job, William. Nicely done. You (obviously) have a lot more patience than I do.

I assume w/ the roommate / action figure two-shot, that you just left it locked-down and cut a matte. Their scenes don't overlap, so no-brainer.

Yup, just cut down the middle on that one. I am working on a longer short with some more complex camera work in the coming weeks that I'm really excited about.

And that's my roommate, not me. I don't like that side of the camera.
