So... i was wondering what the best way to make a stop motion film with the dvx is. Since it has to camera option, how can i make a stop motion? Would i have to double click the record button? or is there a more efficient, or is it just not worth it...
I would look to hear some advice. Thanks!

if I were you, I would shoot with a ditigal camera...
well there are some tutorials on youtube to check those out.

I agree. Much easier and better looking. Check out some behind the scenes stuff on the ROBOT CHICKEN dvds or some of the online promo material for that new Wes Anderson flick THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX.

Yes, there's a setting for interval record, or something similar to that. I forget.
But as others have suggested, using even a cheap digital still camera will get you a much better quality end result than using the dvx.
If you use a 12-18 MP DSLR you can get the same level of quality that the big boys use. Corpse Bride, for example, was shot on a Canon DSLR.

There is a way, but it is inefficient because the minimum time is .5 seconds, so you would be better off with a digital camera. But you can go to the menu and go into recording options and at the end there is an option for interval recording. You have to be in 60i mode, but then you can select the time and then when you press the record button, it will just shoot for that amount of time.
