Our latest short film STOLEN is now online if anyone wants to check it out.

On the short films page click photo to view. It's 10min long 35 meg file, so you might want to save to computer. It's an mp4 file so if it don't work download quicktime 6.5-link is on the page.

Shot 24p normal. -4detail -4for next 2, -5masterped. Cinema matrix off, skin detail off, thick. For running sequence shot at 250 shutter, but compressed version doesn't give it justice. Rest shot at 1/48 shutter. In basement 32k preset, used 3 way color corrector auto white balance in post for basement shots. Outside stuff used 56kprest.

For outside stuff, had camera on shoulder mount, so had to look at LCD to view. The day turned out so nice, I couldn't see crap looking at the LCD, only finger smudges. Somehow it worked out, only shot that sucked was the last of the girl, needed to fill on her face, didn't, so brightened in post-looks bad to me.

Also made a "festival version" that is paced differently, has more of a music theme to it. Hope you like.

Re: STOLEN short film online.

Overall I liked it. I think the best thing I can say about it is after a few minutes into the film, I was just watching the story and not analyzing the cinematography. To me, that's when I know a movie overall is pretty good. ;D

The nit picks:
I thought the guy playing his captor was a really good actor. He handled your dialogue really well. But when the twist in the story came up, I couldn't help but feel like this story was inspired by Fightclub. Thought maybe too much time was spent on the back and fourth of the "this is not real, yes it is" thing. Other than that, really nicely done. The cinematography was first rate and the storyboards were tight. Two thumbs up and big toe! :)
