Stolen macbook

I was robbed of a lot of personal possessions yesterday, and the least of my worries (yes it was that bad) was my MacBook.

I have my mail account on there and if these guys are using it, they can access my files. I have a personal account that I bought.

How can I get that account to shut down/sign off on the laptop? What are my options?

Every web server I've ever used has had some sort of web-based interface. Can you not log into your account through webmail or an account control panel and change all your passwords?
