Stix for Manfroto 501

I just bought a Manfroto 501 to use on a Kessler Pocket Dolly. I would like to get a set of stix so I can use the head with a tripod also. The head has a flat bottom to mate to the slider, so I'm not sure what I need to mate it to stix, and then what stix. I don't want anything real expensive as I have a Sachtler tripod that I use when I'm not on the slider. It would just be nice to have a 2nd tripod if I need it.

you can screw it directly onto the center column of any tripod that has the 1/4" and 3/8" screw attachement size. It would work with this for example:

Just be aware of the load capacity of the stix (your camera + 501)

on manfrotto, you have: 190, 055, 755, 547, 546, 545
* those are ordered by sturdiness and features
* most of those are available both in aluminium and in carbon
* you can find them all in bhphoto
* when looking at the price, keep in mind that for some of those you'd have to get the bowl separately

I'm saving for the 501 plus sticks myself, I think I'll go for the 546 (75mm bowl, big and heavy, not too pricey)
