"SHOUTOUT TO DJ MO BEATZ!"
It's about a DJ named 'DJ MO BEATZ' (Yes, He's Real) He's a famous DJ in Detroit and EVERYWHERE he goes, someone walks by and goes 'ShoutOut to DJ Mo Beatz!'. So I though it'd be funny to write and direct a 20/20 mock about his life. We've been filming this for 4 days. here are some stills:

Looks good, funny idea too, but what is with stills 1 and 5? Are they shot interlaced or something, I can see all the lines... Cant imagine that would be on purpous...

I'M THINKING this:
In Still 1, the light in the club was DEAD RED, like this:
DJMoBeatz2.jpg

But every so often, like club lights do, a strobe would go off. This is the one frame that the strobe went off. And I was shooting 24P, so I think that this is all the light that the cam was able to capture in the strobe...lol, that's my only guess.

I think the interlacing is a result of something you've done wrong in the editing or capturing or something.

Nawl...I didn't even USE this footage. I just uploaded it for the still, took it, and deleted it. So what do you suggest I do to fix that? Cause it happens to me alot.

Well, you can see that the at least the grabs posted that have the interlacing artifacts, also have lower resolution. This means that the footage really has to be interlaced. You might have bumped into the scene file dial while shooting, or there might be something really wrong with your camera.

Those grabs with the artifacs are clearly interlaced to me.

Whatever it is, on the whole these look pretty darn good! Much better than the stuff i've seen from you. Great job whitewood, keep it up! You might be in the running for the most improved DVXuser award

Nice grabs, a little bit weird on the colors for some reason to me (maybe it is just me). Idk if i like the framing in alot of them though, it looks a little sloppy. Grab 8 for instance, they are way to low in frame it seems. Idk they are nice but the framing leaves something to be desired.

If out of 9 pictures you can only spot the framing wrong in 1 (Which I MAY have done puposefully because I liked te sky), I'd say that's pretty darn good. Thanx!

I do not think the framing is that bad in 8, you should have given them more lead room cause there too much in the center! Remember your rule of thirds. But the sky and stairs in the shot show fg, mg, and bg. I like the colors and contrast in these stills. Possibly a little too much head room in 7 and 9, otherwise Good job!
