I've followed the manual and the advice from other users. I can't get the HVX to capture directly to final cut. I have my 1394 settings to device and my control "off", cmd sel "rec_p". I've set my audio/video settings in FCP to 720p24, the same as my camera, non controllable device.
When I go to capture now I've tried by hitting record on the camera and without recording, no such luck. Should the camera be in VCR mode or camera mode. I would love for some one to walk me through the steps. It can't be this difficult. I hope my camera isn't f-ed up. Please help if you can. I've tried the same process on my buddy's powerbook. It seams as if fcp isn't recognizing the camera. what gives?
