Still export problem

When I export a still from a progressive or interlaced project, the image looks like a really raw interlaced picture, with fat interlaced lines, very ugly.
I never had a problem with this before.
Now I have Avid 5.1.5 so is it Avid or something else?
I have tried different settings and formats, but it give me the same ugly image.

First thing I'd try is upgrading to 5.2.2. It helps in troublshooting.

Well, version 5.2.2 gives me that famous memory error! So I am back to 5.1.5.

But when I export a QT REF first, and then export a BMP from the REF movie,
it looks good.

There is a known issue with DV codecs and export. This is fixed in 5.2.2. What memory errors are you seeing?

Errors:

Unable to allocate memory for operation.

The system is running low on memory (100% full)
