Hi,
i have a 60d. I used a 24-105mm but the wide angle is not wide enough and the iso doesnt boost enough for me.
I used a sigma 17-50, i found the focus ring to be less to be desired, and i would like a bit more wide angle. I find it usable at f2.8

I though of buying a 6d and use the 24-105mm lens. Would the advantage to boost iso without noise will be significant ?
will the 24-105mm would be a good choice ?

If i go with 6d route, i would upgrade the 24-105mm lens with the nikkor primes; 24, 50, 105mm. Would it be a good kit ?

Thank you in advance everyone,

* I think you'll get two stops of ISO improvement (ISO 6400 with same amount of noise as your current ISO 1600, maybe even a bit cleaner)
* the 24-105 is really convenient, but image quality could be better... for example with those primes you mention (not sure which versions you're talking about, but chances are, they will be better than the 24-105, no matter which versions you choose)
* the 5D3 is a very big step ahead of the 6D; in fact, even for video, I would also prefer the D800 (not the D600) to the 6D

thanks. I thought Nikon was not in the competition in terms of video anymore. My budget is only 1500$...
Thanks for the advice Samuel. What about GH4-GH3?

You post your desire for a lens wider than 24mm and faster than f4.0, then you ask if you should purchase a 6D or GH3 or GH4 and state your budget is only $1500? I guess I'm missing something here, cause I would add something along the lines of the Tokina 11-16mm mkII to fill out your lack of a fast wide lens rather than buy yet another camera body. Buy a camera when you need a camera, and buy a lens when you need a lens.

thanks for the advice david.
I plan toward buying a 6d over a 60d and have prime like nikkor 50mm. It is really hard to know if 6d is worth the upgrade.
Some say "Crop versus FF is of little importance when doing video work"

thanks. I thought Nikon was not in the competition in terms of video anymore.
Right now Nikon has much better APS-C cameras than Canon does. There's nothing better than the D5200/D5300/D7100 at their price (and with a big sensor).
But $1500 won't buy you a D800, and the D600 is not good, so...

Personally, I woulnd't go for the 6D. I'm very happy with my NEX+SpeedBooster, I think it matches or beats the 6D in every count (color, sharpness, artifacts, etc). I don't have electronic lenses, though, which is an advantage for the SpeedBooster route.
