Stereostopic Rig for the HVX200 ??

Hello, I tried searching the forums for a posting of this kind but no success.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a stereostopic rig for the HVX200?
Or any camera rental house that might carry it in LA.

I've found a few plates that are made for smaller cameras but wouldn't be able to fit these large Panasonic cameras.

I'm working on a project in which I would love to try stereostopic.

Please post any info you may have.
Thanks! :)

Did you find a stereoscopic rig for the HVX200 in LA? I'm also interested in using it for a project.

If you're using internet searches for any of this, you should probably note that it's spelled "stereoscopic" (not "stereostopic") as in stereo (dual) scope (vision).

I myself am working on a rig that uses stereoscopic tech, but in a one camera setup...

You'll find that if you use a Redrock M2 adapter and attach a Loreo Lens in a cap you can achieve this on one camera.

There is also the possibility of using mirrors in front of the rig to achieve this, and then finally for full frame hi-def you need to use two camera's side by side.

Have fun!

Oh finally, if you are looking for a complete solution contact these guys:

Also Red is working on a camera as well

Try to google stereoscopic dvx100 or 3d dvx100, I think the company that made the stereo dvx100 rig did some work with hvx200's.

I shot 3D for the Minneapolis 48 hour film project. I had a machinist make me a plate that mounts two Zacuto baseplates side by side. I used it with two HPX170's.

Since we're on the topic I thought I would share a shot of the 3D camera owned by the company my wife works for.

Hi Brian, I live in Eden Prairie. I am going to be working on a project and the director wants a stereoscopic rig for use with hvx200's or hpx170's. I did some digging online and it seems you already have one made. Do you still have the rig? I would be interested in taking a look at it. Thanks!
