Stereo Audio MC 5039

Im stumped.... been brining in music cd's as 2 channel mono (l/r) forever. Noticed we could add a stereo track in the timeline. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to import a music cd as a stereo pair, so that the 2 channels (l/r mono) will go onto the single STEREO channel in the timeline. Must be missing a setting somewhere.... thought it would be on the AUDIO tab of the IMPORT menu, but didnt see it.

Can anyone provide the answer?

After the import, highlight the clip and look into the different modify commands via right click, (not in front of a system right now).

Ive also heard that its an import setting on 552 from one of my friends, curious it was never more of a 'major feature' 5.0 (other than the method MichaelP refers to). It's obvious when capturing tape, just not when importing cd.

You can change the import setting to not group stereo tracks and bring in two mono like previous versions of MC
