Stepping up from the EX cameras

I would strongly recommend renting the Flash XDR. Then decide what your budget and other requirements (workflow, client media needs, turnaround) are.

The Flash will show you what your camera is capable of. Then you have decide what you are missing. Low light? Bokeh? Sharpness? Detail? A single package?

Bokeh would require a (much) larger sensor or a 35mm adapter.

Low light would mean a larger sensor.

Sharpness may be a lens...however detail may need an oversampled sensor...which moves you to a Red or digital camera hybrid. And either of these solutions may play havoc with a workflow that requires quick turnarounds or isn't backed with significant computing power.

A single package? The HPX 300 equal or betters you lens/sensor with better features, onboard recording around (just were around TBD but close in either case) a Flash XDR recording with a straightforward ready to edit (with the right software) all I-frame workflow.
