Stephen - What to do about dead pixel(s)?

I didn't put in my 1st day report, but sadly there are a couple of dead pixels. You can see only one at normal exposure/shutter speed, but you can see about five when you change the shutter rate...

So Stephen, could you email me the secret menu option to mask the dead pixel(s)? I know there is a risk to doing it too many times, but right now I really can't shoot any usable footage with it there...

I believe that one or two dead pixels is pretty much par for the course for this camera - is that correct?

I think dead pixels right off the bat is par. The masking proceedure is a sequence of buttons. I've personally never had to do it but I know a few people who have. I'll see what I can dig up and then PM you or you can just call JVC service at the 800 number and they can walk you through the proceedure over the phone (so I've heard).
