This is a economic, social, and cultural documentary directed by (myself) Kevin DeOliveira. We've been shooting for months and won't head into full post production until fall. Shot on a pair of HVX's w/ Letus at times.

Youngstown, Ohio's story provides a perfect example of the challenges that the midwest and nation face today. The world is changing, are we? Enjoy.

we just started editing, and things are looking amazing. The trailer does it no justice, just wait for the next one ;)

Very well done. was it 200 or 200A? Did you use Neat Video or something similar as the images are incredibly clean. Would love to know what your shooting settings were.

Its a 200, and yes noise was a problem. I love the cam but thats one of its downfalls. As far as settings, we tweaked on the fly so i couldn't tell you exactly

On the shots that were an issue we used a noise reduction plug-in. "TMTS Noise reduction" - it worked out decent, there are better ones out there.

Better than decent from looking at this footage. I was going to sell my HVX because of the noise thing but with so much great looking footage being posted now using plug-ins like Neat Video and the like it just reinforces how great a camera it is. Maybe Panasonic should include the Neat Video software with every purchase.

seriously. Im a big believer that if you put the right shooter behind a cam, they can make it look good.
