Steadicam Workshop with Charles Papert in Sonoma, CA. - December 11th & 12th, 2009

I'll be registering with my RED Edition Steadicam (Actioncam) and my RED (#6975 i personally own) and I have shot with a number of people Charles has shot with already. Commonly we use the technocrane. But for the next few we will try out having the RED on a steadicam.

Hello,

I wanted to attend this, but couldn't because of work.

Can anyone post some reviews/pix/commentary? How was it?

Hey Brad - got your PM but I figured I'd respond here.

There's a discussion re: the workshop over on DVI: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/stabili...pert-sonoma-ca-december-11th-12th-2009-a.html

The last two pages there are mostly regarding workshop experiences - I think a few more people will be posting some testimonials soon.

Somewhere in there you'll find a link to photos, but I'll link them here as well: http://gallery.me.com/meeksdigital#100252&bgcolor=black&view=grid

We had a fantastic time - and although I'm not able to write a whole lot at the moment (crunch time on a job due by midnight! eeek!) I will try and get some more info up on the forums regarding how everything went. In a few short words... it went extremely well and we had a BLAST!!!

An intermediate workshop is currently in the works - stay tuned. If you're interested in getting on the notification list for future workshops, please e-mail me at info@meeksdigitalstudios.com with the subject line "future steadicam workshops" and I'll make sure and keep you informed of our plans for 2010.

Talk to you soon!!
