Anyone else use a full steadycam rig with their 5d/7d

I used it at an event yesterday, a Hula event. i was overall happy about the quality, a few OOF shots that i didnt like, but ill get a remote FF eventually to fix that. Anyways, i used a flycam 6000 which i was oiverly happy about. i read about all the problems with them, but it seems i got one that worked rather well. the vest sucks, but ill replace that with a better one asap. other than that, it dynamically balanced perfectly, statically balanced perfectly. I just had to open the holes up for HDMI cable down the shaft.

here is a small section of hte 4 hour event lol

there are some things i can deff work on with the handling.
Anyone else use them, and have any pointers? Most of hte guys that use them, use normal cameras, and i find hte DSLR reacts totally diff!

i did that as well!
i used a rail setup, with FF (even though i dont have to), mattebox, mic, 2lbs of weight between the QR and base of rails to raise the center of gravity.
it seemed to work well. I dunno, i dont know enough about steadicam stuff to tell. im still researching alot

i use my 5DmkII / 16-35mm 2.8 on a steadicam pilot with decent luck so far. if i know that ill be shooting slight downward i will push the camera forward on the platform so its pitched down a little bit by default. this way i dont have to hold it in that downward position the whole time. your dance stuff was aiming a little high on much of the footage that i saw.

judging focus i have found to be a bit tricky when shooting wide open. obviously with more light and 5.6 or 8.0 on a wide angle is not a problem.
