Hello everyone, I have an SK2 with a modified arm by Robert Luna, I had him put the second section on the arm (essentially a Provid arm) anyway, was lucky that he had the parts to do it, works great, as with anything Robert touches: the Mod alone was $1500, but the harder part is finding the parts to do it) I believe he rated it at 21-23 pounds max. This kit comes with the C-Stand, SK2 (w/Anton Bauer mount), Modified Arm, Original vest in great shape, Practice cage (has quick release tripod plate) with a 50 watt Frezzi with soft box (dimable) installed, it has a gold mount installed on the rear of the cage to accept the anton bauer Batteries to power the light, It comes with a spare stage plate (two total), 2- Hytron 50's, Titan Twin Charger, Large pelican case to house the unit, low mode bracket and the T-handle for adjustments. I will throw in the ORIGINAL EFP training tape (not a copy) and the VHS tape from Jerry Holway, asking $6500, works fantastic. Used it for weddings only, so it was not abused or heavily taxed. I'll also include a second smaller machined aluminum cage I would use for going in low mode (necessary because I had the light mounted on top of the other cage (which is Steel). I will accept Paypal. I am also including a Dionic 90 that no longer works, but can be rebuilt for a fraction of the original price. A sample clip of some shots I was able to get with it is here www.bellegardens.com/images/Belle.mov

Can email photos.

$6500

Thanks
Mike

The arm alone sells for $5000 used at tiffen http://www.steadicam.com/steadiUsed.html,
extra camera plate (which is new) is $180, Hytrons and Titan Twin go used in this condition for $700, Cages $800, training tapes $150, Pelican case $100, there is $6930 right there "used prices" and that does not account for the sled and vest, C-stand with bracket, and extra Gold Mount. Here is the link to the price list from Tiffen (new prices of course).

I first purchased a Glidecam V16, returned it (faulty workmanship) purchased this and it was night and day, once you go Steadicam you'll never go back :)

seems like a pretty good deal folks.

i guess the hart part about this is finding someone who wants to be a devoted steadicam operator. Very few will fork out this much money on a piece of equipment that has lower versiosn for cheaper, that fullfill the needs of the majority of those who work on these boards.

All the luck to your sale!

p.s. the footage is quite fantastic, but in all fairness, everything is on a super wide wide wide lens. Very hard to judge. ( although this is not the quality of the unit itself, more so the operator )

If i may place an offer.

Ill give you a cheque for 1000$, or... you can have whats in the mystery box...

Good point, it would be hard to sell on this board, most people are happy with there Glidecams and smaller rigs, it is for the serious. Just trying to get the word out on most of the boards. Your right about the wide angle, that of course is the look I was after and it does not matter what my footage looks like as an operator, it will only be as good as the person operating. This is a great deal for someone wanting long continuous shots and wanting to mount everything under the sun to the cage, or wanting to get into other types of work, the heavier weight capacity allows that, this unit will last a long time because it can handle alot. Does keep it's value, if of course you get the right buyer:)

Cheers
Mike
