Steadicam reel

To Dr. King:

Thank you. We are in Montreal, and my wife can travel easily to Toronto and Ottawa as well, and to Europe (she has dual Canadian/ EU citizenship) if job is more than a few days, and same goes for Vancouver. She speaks fluent French and English.

Please send me a P.M. to discuss rates. Her rates are not more than average, only, I'd like to think, the quality of her work and and how fun and easy she is to work with.

The demo was shot on our Pilot. We also have a Flyer which we share with another prodco. Red has never been a problem with the Flyer, but if the cam plus accessories is less than 10 pounds, then the Pilot is a better choice, as Amber can keep the Pilot on for a full 10 hour day with just a lunch break. A Flyer requires a wee bit more break time, although not much more.

To THX Dave: People who buy a Steadicam expecting results like this will most likely be dissapointed. It's kind of like buying 3D Studio Max and expecting to immediately make 3D animation as nice as what you see all other users doing. The pen does not make the writer! My wife has had formal training and practices every day. She also has a lot of natural talent. You may well discover that you have natural talent for Steadicam, and then be willing to put in hour upon hour of tedious practice routines to perfect that talent. Or you may not. A Steadicam is not pick up and play. I for one suck at it, and envy my wife's abilities. The Pilot in particular is very, very difficult to operate as it is quite light, and requires lots of finessing.
