I purchased this Steadicam Pilot-VL from J&R in October of 2008 for $3,500 and have used it on two or three real estate video tours with my Panasonic AG-HMC150. Due to the seasonal nature of what I do and where I live, I have not had much time to work with the unit and have not seen the return on the investment I would have liked.
The unit has less than 10 hours of use and performs like new. The screen is flawless and is very sharp. I owned a single articulating arm version from Varizoom, and without any additional practice, I saw a dramatic difference in performance between the Varizoom model and the Steadicam Pilot. This model is very easy to get set up and can be used with beginners and experts.
The unit comes with everything needed to begin a career as a Steadicam Operator, or step up from an inferior stabilizer model. It comes with a v-lock battery system, but that can be changed very easily and inexpensively to an Anton Bauer, or AA battery version. I recommend the IDX batteries due to their less expensive price tag as compared to Anton Bauer batteries, but also because one IDX battery will power the monitor for more than 4 hours easily. You can see exactly what is included with this unit by clicking on the following B&H Photo link:

Contact me for actual pictures of the unit and to discuss a price. I am posting this on several forums so I am holding off on posting images until I can get it to the studio. Thanks for your interest!
