I have flown the ex3 on my pilot vlb with no problem.
the complete rig had... wireless receiver, shotgun with rode shockmount, all the necessary custom cables, and power came soley from the idx batteries. oh yeah there was also a wireless video transmitter for external monitoring. the rig was maxed out but flew nicely. I did take the viewfinder attachment off. no bp30/60 needed with this setup.
