Steadicam Jr. with DVX

Has anyone tried the DVX on the Steadicam Jr.? I know the Merlin works really well with it, but right now I don't want to spend that much. Will the dvx work okay on the Jr.?
 
I have this setup and it works fine as long as you are careful. Setup and balancing takes a while but it can be done. If I were you I'd spend the extra cash and get a Merlin because using the DVX and a jnr. is really pushing it towards the edge of the weight limit.
 
Yeah, the DVX is really right at, if not almost slightly over the maximum limit of the JR. It can be made to work, but you will some vibration in the system during faster moves.

If you can swing it, the Merlin is much better suited to the DVX.
