Is anybody else using one of these guys? I just picked one up, and I'm having problems setting it up. The "cookbook" is sorely lacking in help. If you've got one, would you mind listing your settings (weights, Z axis, mounting hole, etc)?

Right now, mine essentially balances, but it seems to "wobble" very easily. I don't know if it's because I'm just not practiced, or if the DVX really is too heavy for it. Or if I could just benefit from better settings.

Any help? Thanks.

Not sure on the balancing settings for the DVX or the JR lite, however...

The ides is to balance it so that it hangs just level. - it will seem very "squirly" at first. However if you hold it by just the handle and move it slowly, it should remain prety much level.
Then put your other hand as the manual shows and use it to *very* [very] lightly control the gimble and point the camera.
It WILL take practice for you to learn how to control it properly though, so don't be dishartened. Practice Practice Practice!

Thanks. It definitely will take some getting used to. I'm just worried that the camera may be too heavy for the device... and it doesn't help that I can't find preferred settings for the DVX anyplace, so I'm just winging it there. The official website isn't really any help, so I was hoping someone here might have some experience with it.

Hmm.. thinking a litte more about this, the PD-150 needs a special aditional counterweight on the bottom to balance - so I'm goging to guess the DVX does too. You could buy it.. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=250943&is=REG&addedTroughType=search
or just put a bit of suitable wieght on the bottom yourself - be carefull not to put too much! the system will hold more that speck, but you'll have to be a little more gental with it when flying. (Minimize the G forces down on the gimble.)
