Starting Point Advice for Low Light Shooting

Hey all,

I hate to ask this, (it's a noob question) but I have not done much low light stuff and I really don't have the time to do the experimentation I would like.

I need to shoot a night football game...under the bright stadium lights of course. Can someone give me some settings and scene file info to start with? Just a basic starting point to work off of. When shooting scenes like this, what settings do you guys like to adjust/tinker with for tweaking once I get there and take a look at the environment.

I know 720/60p for the action, but I am talking in terms of image settings. I know I hate to ask such a nooby question, but I need to get up and running pretty quickly.

Thanks guys.

Regards,

G.

Most stadiums are really well lit, sometimes brighter than it is at dusk, so I there is a good chance it won't be "low light."

With anything, if you want the most light w/o gain, go w/ 24p & shutter speed 1/24. At 720p60 you'll love a full stop, but have smoother motion.

I agree. You wont need any gain. Shoot 72060p and use the fastest shutter you can with out being under exposed. Check your wave form monitor to be sure. Spark 3 should be a good one.
