Stanford Value Comp Entry

So Stanford has this competition in which people submit a video which creates value. The key is that it has to be about water bottles, and the subject (water bottles) wasn't revealed until the night of the 12th, and submissions were due early on today.

I had decided beforehand after watching tons of levi's commercials that I was going to make the commercial overtly sexual just for kicks. When I realized it was water bottles I was kind of stumped, but eventually figured something out. Anyway here's the video, feedback would be great. The point of the video is that I'm trying to give value to the idea of putting thought behind your gifts and not buying into the consumer culture of "flowers and chocolate", as well as making recycling look sexy.

liked the song. the whole concept was nice. shots were good...framed well for the most part. i think u really got ur point across also. the part where she pulled him in by the belt...really cool. u can feel the love.

only gripe was the lighting when she came over. underexposed.

edit: ok so i watched some other people's stuff and i like urs even more now...cuz most of the ones i have seen have gone the same route of trying to save the planet which is good, but i like ur twist on it.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I definitely could have lit some of the scenes better. There's so much more flexibility with editing with better exposed footage. The competition I think is more for business majors who aren't really concerned with visual representation and creativity, so I guess I have a bit of an advantage there haha
