Standby mode???

Hi,

I just got my new DVX100a the other day and so have only had limited time to mess around with it. I did have one question though... If I have the camera turned on but not recording, it goes into a "sleep" mode after about 5 minutes. I can't figure out how to get it back into an active mode, (where the LCD is lit, etc) other than just turning it off and back on. Is there a way to turn off this feature altogether? How can I get the camera back into a regular standby mode other than turning it off and back on?

Thanks for any help!

Simple. Read the manual and look for the section which describes "TAPE PROTECT" you can elect to have the camera enter either "POWEROFF" or "STBY" (standby) mode when left in a shooting pause situation.

PS I notice that this is your first post; welcome aboard!
