Yeah, it is his first time here. He's been waiting to go every since he was a kid, last week he fulfilled his dream of going to Disneyland :)

That's great man! What's he going to do when he gets here? Wait where in NJ is he going to? Tell him he should check out Great Adventure if he likes theme parks. Also, depending how old he is, tell him that Manhattan, NY is right here as well. It's an amazing city that everyone should encounter at least a dozen times in their lives. :thumbup:
 
I'm not too sure of all his plans, he'll send emails saying "well, I'm leaving for *city* tommorow" etc. So I'm not exactly sure where he's going in NJ, but I know he's going to Leonardo (Clerks fan, wants to go to Quik-Stop/RST Video) and he's also going to Jay & Silent Bob's Secret Stash. He probably is going to Great Adventure, when he was planning the trip he had a big USA travel book with all the different attractions and whatnot, so I'd assume he at least knows about (but yeah, I assume he will go). I will ask him in the next email I send him though.

He's 19 (born 1985) so if you're talking about 21+ stuff, yeah he won't be able to.

What a hijack this is! Well, at least the ACTUAL topic is still going, between our posts, so I don't feel too bad. :)

The shallow DOF and optics that further blur the video sharpness coupled with your effectively simple visual design make for some un-video like images. The sound design and strings are also very effective part of the illusion. great job!
I wholeheartedly agree that the length should be halved at least, though. I found your visuals, although slick, to be way too long and/or repititious. I think that you might add anticipation or wonder if you tightened it up alot. I didn't really feel engaged by the story, but instead was sitting back and saying to myself, "that looks pretty cool"...kinda like a commercial or music video.
It does look cool, though. I bet if you brought it in between 3 and 4 minutes it might work alot better, though.
 
What do you mean "it would be a video clip then."? Isn't that what I just watched...a bunch of video clips edited together with audio, music, etc...? Maybe something is being lost?

He means that it would differ too much from his original concept and idea and does not want to shorten it. :cheesy:

Yeah, the IFilm.com is a very good idea, although I think you have to pay for it, which isn't good.

Reducing the time of this short would make it feel like an advert. Don't listen to all this MTV generation kids that are always in a rush for no good reason. Somethings should be tasted slowly, and this film is one of them.
