At the risk of beating a dead horse, I have a questio n about squeeze mode footage on DVD. I tried searching here and found hundreds of threads. Here's my problem:
I've been doing some playing around, trying to find the best way to do some 3D animation for stuff shot in squeeze mode. As a result, I burned some DVDs with footage shot in squeeze.
When I play the DVDs through a wide screen TV, the taped footage is stretched horizontally, bordered on the top and bottom with black bars as if it were letterboxed. The footage plays with a normal letterbox appearance on a 4:3 TV.
I exported to DVD from Premiere Pro 1.5. One DVD was burned as 16x9 anamorphic, and one was burned as 4x3, and both showed the same thing on both TS. The only TV to display correctly was the 4x3.
Any ideas about what I might be doing wrong? Again, I did a search here but found hundreds of threads with potential answers.
Thanks!
Dave
