Squeeze or 16:9

I was shooting skateboarding in squeeze mode and I know that it stretches the image in the LCD but does it show the full frame? Because in the LCD it looks like I cut off the skaters board off. Will it not be like that when I capture?

the lcd on the dvx is 4:3, so it squeezed the image on that screen that's why.
when you look at your footage on a 16:9 screen it will look normal so don't worry.

If the destination for my video is for both the web and a dvd, is squeeze the way to go? Why is it that it's not good for a regular television?
Also, will Vegas automatically display it as widescreen when captured?

If you shoot SQUEEZED, edit on a widescreen timeline and export to DVD, it will play fine on both widescreen and standard TV sets. Your DVD player will make any adjustments needed. If you are viewing on a widescreen, set the DVD player for widescreen and the image will fill the screen as it should. If you are viewing on a standard 4:3 TV, set the DVD player to 4:3 and it will letterbox the image so that it can be seen as it should be. It's the same thing that happens when you watch commercially made DVDs.

The only time the image will look squeezed on a standard TV is when you view the footage directly from the camera.
