Squeeze Mode

I know this was covered in another thread, but I am unable to find, Do I lose any picture quality by using squeeze mode, or letterbox?

You lose about 25%, but honestly, in progressive mode, it looks great. Letterbox will have a higher resolution if you stay in 4:3, but if you output letterbox as 16:9, you'll still lose the resolution. I've really started to like squeeze mode.
 
Say I were to film in 4:3 and then import it into FCP as anamorphic 16x9, will I lose any quality in the capture?
