squeeze mode workflow

can someone please tell me the workflow for creating an anamorphic widescreen dvd with squeeze mode footage in fcp. i just wanted to be sure im doing this right.

do you export with compressor using dvd best quality 90 minutes 4:3 so that it will squeeze the footage into a 4:3 aspect ratio, there for the footage on the dvd will be anamorphic. and would a dvd player recognize this as anamorphic 16:9 footage?

or is that the wrong method? and should i export with compressor using dvd best quality 90 minutes 16:9 so that it will keep the footage in the 16:9 aspect ratio that i edited it in. and is this considered anamorphic 16:9.

That's the right workflow. DVD will be pure 16:9. DVD players will letterbox on the fly, as necessary.
